34 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

There was an insect issue. We had big water bugs in the kitchen area.

This hotel made me feel inspired: There was so much to do right on property so you wanted to get up and do something fun.

I am very likely to return to the Westgate Lakes Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

23 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

First, I had to wait 25 minutes just to check in. Then I was hassled to spend $20 for a 1 and half hour trail of their property for twenty minutes until I agreed for them to just stop.

Then the room's numbers are designed horribly. I stayed in room 1441B. But nowhere on the main door of 1441 does it say inside the one door there is a 1441A and 1441B. Maybe the front desk could have told me, instead of me wasting half a hour looking for someone around the property to find the room.

I eventually found a employee on her cell phone at the pool that claimed she was working that only spoke Spanish. So I had to find another confused customer to ask her to help me find my own room.

Then I get to the room, half the lights in the room do not work. I called the hotel and said that they would fix it tomorrow during the day while I am not in the room. Aside from the lights not working, there were just three towels in a room with a shower and a Jacuzzi.

So, I come back the next day from universal at 4 pm. Guess what? No room service. No clean towels. No fixed lights. Just a dirty room.

I was beyond ticked off. I said to myself let me get in the Jacuzzi and just relax for a little.

Then I come to remember that there are no towels. So my girlfriend called for towels. As she says we need more towels someone that spoke half Spanish and half gibberish, transferred her to some other office that did not half way understand Spanish or English. So, no towels for 30 minutes. Then I hear the guy knocking on 1441A. I go outside to the door and said wrong room. The guy starts arguing with me that I am not right and I'm in the wrong room. By the way, his order paper showed 1441B. I just do not think this guy knew how to read in English.

To keep going, I needed to stay an extra night so I walked over to the front desk to ask if they can match the price I have already reserved. The front desk rep was on some sort of drug or he just woke up. He was very slow, non responsive and also a liar. After, he says no we cannot. I said to myself fine. I got the deal thru American Express and I can understand. So I just said can I ask the manager just for my own personal reasons. He tells me no manager is on duty. How can a huge resort not have one manager on duty?

Then I was just livid, I left the front office. I went to my room and called the front desk. Asked for a manager they said he is driving around the pool area and he will call me in 5 minutes.

Somehow the manager came from home and started working and being on duty exactly 5 minutes after the first front desk guy told me there was no manager on duty.

So he calls me back 30 minutes later at midnight and says my manager approved to give you a free buffet breakfast and a late checkout. Keep in mind both were promised when I checked in for free.

So, not only did the front desk rep lie as I checked in about a late check out being free, but also all the manager could do is offer something free that every other hotel gives for free. Even motels give you late check outs for free. This is a resort. I felt like I was more like in prison.

I told him it's a joke what he was offering me. He calls me back at 1 am in the morning on a Saturday night and says my manager approved the Sunday night stay at $35. I said fine, just please no more problems I can't deal. He said Ill make sure everything is fine.

Well, guess what I come back Sunday afternoon and my keys don't work. My pregnant girlfriend needed to use the restroom. So I call the front desk from my cell phone since I am locked out of my own room.

I sat on hold for 7 minutes until another manager answered and said that the other forgot to activate my old cards for the keys, but now, she said she will send someone out to bring me the cards.

I see the guy coming in his little golf cart, while he is driving he decided it would be a good idea to stop his cart. Take his cell phone out, stop the cart make a few phone calls right under the 1400 building where I was waiting. I heard him and his conversation, and then he thought it would be a good idea to bring the keys upstairs. Well I walk into the room and guess what again: No room service once again.

All I have to say is never again Do I stay at a Westgate resort.

The property was very clean and the people were nice. All of the pools were clean. There was nothing that we did not dislike.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They were readily helpful about the property. They had a package for us about the property.

I am very likely to return to the Westgate Lakes Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

For the price, you cannot beat the location or the amenities. I think you will get a nicer room actually at the resort. The sales pitch was pleasant initially but one of the salespeople got visibly annoyed when it was clear that we were not going to buy.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: There was a very nice, spacious bathroom with a walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub. There was also a nice screened balcony overlooking one of the lakes at the resort.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Westgate Lakes Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

I thought that the resort was very conveniently located to Disney, Sea World and other tourist attractions. I was blown completely away by the restaurant, the Westgate Smokehouse Grill. The service was also very nice and the condo was very spacious. I would like to see the resort incorporate modern large screen TVs for the rooms, as well. There were several on site activities and pools. I did not get a chance to indulge in any of the poolside bars, it was not staffed the one time we visited the pool, and I think that a Westgate lifeguard would be a good thing to recommend, as we had several enthusiastic persons running and diving into a shallow pool which could have been very dangerous. I would recommend this resort for persons to stay during a trip to Orlando.

This hotel made me feel excited: There was an electric type feel in the air.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Westgate Lakes Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

I like the comfort and convenience. However, it wasn't private enough, too busy, too noisy, and too overcrowded.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: I enjoyed the Jacuzzi in each room. The beds and the individual screened in patios is what made the stay great.

The facilities and the location were excellent. There was an incident where the continental breakfast was to be provided until eleven and was not. They treated us to a full restaurant breakfast the following day. The service was fine. The pool and Jacuzzi was right outside our door and there were several of them.

I disliked the noisiness of the appliances, but I did appreciate being able to do laundry and to have a kitchen. I was very disturbed by the fact that the on-site pizza restaurant would not allow us to pick up the food, they would only allow delivery at exorbitant fees. The location was great, close to downtown Orlando and Disney. The service was fine.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The accommodations were roomy. The furniture was comfortable.
