Good hostel on the Upper West Side, wireless is $9.95 per day, there is also a fee for using the computers. Staff is friendly!

Do not stay in this hotel. Don't be fooled by the cheap prices. The customer service is terrible. They say they do not take credit cards, but they will charge your account if they believe they have the right to do so. Do not give them your credit card number!

I thought this hotel was awful and certainly not worth the money that we paid for it.

The reception area was okay, but the stairs were in need of maintenance, the corridors smelled funny and were so dark that when my friends saw the photos on my return they thought it looked worse than a prison.

The room did not have half of the facilities that were advertised on the website where we booked, in fact all they had were bunk beds and a TV where most of the channels didn't work. As for the beds themselves, they were incredibly uncomfortable and there were several springs that had gone in the mattress. Every morning I woke up with fresh insect bites.

The bathrooms were cleaned every day, but it everything still seemed dirty and the shower didn't work very well.

There was no means of preparing food, so I ended up paying more for takeaways and what was supposed to be the kitchen was just a room with a sink in it.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
