Santa Barbara, on the coast of California, is situated 92 miles north of Los Angeles and 332 miles south of San Francisco. The West Beach Inn, a Coast Hotel is a beach front hotel, located between a marina and Stearns Wharf, the most popular destination in Santa Barbara. We are located three blocks from downtown State Street and ten steps from the beach.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my room, wasn't really fond of where it was situated (next to the drive way) but that did not turn out to be a factor. The rooms seem to have been upgraded recently, very nice large bath...

Fabulous view, large comfortable room,I understand they have redecorated since our stay. I found a couple of the desk staff to be snippy and impatient,but the pleasantness and helpfullness of the manager and other staff made up for it. The well...

Employees here are not friendly. Location is awful. Has no harbor view, views are of boat launch across busy main street that is only rooms that offer any outward views. No water view at all! Not walking distance to the State streets few shops...

Good
The location is great. The hotel is a little older, so expect a little less modern room. Service was good, but the continental breakfast and wine & cheese spread was a little weak.
Great location with a beautiful view from the large balcony. Clean room and plenty of room for a crib. There is a park on the sand across the street. Not the fanciest place around but a great experience.

Okay
I have stayed in many hotels and this was a nice one, but definitely not worth $* a night. Everyone was super friendly and the pool was nice, as was the view. But the beach across the street was very dirty. Lots of trash and tar.
