46 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Let me state first that I had no unpleasant encounters with staff that prompted this review. It is based on the fact that the hotel is simply very, very, very low classed, dirty and worn. In all the local advertising it sets itself out as an average-nice motel, giving the impression that it would be similar in quality to a Comfort Inn or something on that level, and the price is comparable. THAT is where the comparison comes to an abrupt halt. Dirty, dirty, dirty. The carpet was filthy. If I hadn't been staying there with a group of people that I wanted to be with, I would have moved immediately. As it was, I kept my socks on and tried to touch a little as possible. The furniture was scuffed and worn. The refrigerator was noisy. The mattresses were hard, old and saggy. One bed in a two-queen-bed room had no blanket. The other had a blanket with cigarette burn holes that you could literally put your hand through. The light switches had a thick coat/crusting of dirt where they had been touched and apparently never cleaned. The shower curtain was moldy. The bathroom tissue was so cheap it wouldn't unroll. All you got was flakes of paper.
Oh, and get this: The place is loaded everywhere you look with no pet signs. My dog immediately posted his opinion of the place on the carpet. LOL He has never done that. Obviously, the odor was there to attract him. HOWEVER: If you want to stay somewhere you need to sneak a dog in, go for it, because you will NOT be harassed by housekeeping. You won't see them at all.
Rat bed hotels have their place in the economy, I won't deny. It is this place trying to pass itself off in advertising as a nice hotel that got to me.
