Welk Resort San Diego Ca near Wild Animal Park, an all-suite getaway and family resort, is located on 600 tree-lined acres, tucked in a picturesque valley, away from traffic and crowds. The resort features two golf courses for all levels of play, tennis courts, pools and spas, daily activities for all age groups, year round live professional Broadway Style theatre and Comedy nights, unique boutique shop, a new restaurant, three recreation/activity centers, and a full fitness center. Organized trips to Southern California attractions and Mexico are available Monday - Friday. The Welk Resort is located 45 minutes from San Diego and many of it's attractions. We went to the Lawrence Welk Resort for a family vacation and some golfing. The resort is a perfect place to relax and the golf courses are fun and very well-maintained. The par-3 course was perfect with the kids.
