Never again. I thought I could save some money so I stayed at this hotel. I felt that the bedspreads had not been washed in months. The other guest at the hotel were a little scary - I felt like I needed to bolt my door constantly

Abundant fresh strawberries at breakfast.Would only give one room key. Had to beg for a second key. No free internet. Working man's hotel. Truckers etc.

The coffee machine. The coffee machine was out of order in the evening. No nearby food places. Nice, quiet area right off the freeway. Easy access. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, spacious room. Loved the coffee machine! Too bad it was out of order...

Mediocre
Doors hung wrong and stick. With doors hung to let in noise from the halls, paper thin walls allowing all noise from the room next door and uncomfortable beds, the experience was uncomfortable and not very restful. We will not be returning.

They said they had wi-fi internet in the room. They do only if you have a T-Mobile account and if you have one...what do you need Red Roof for? Of course none of this was explained before check in. As I expressed my disatisfaction I was told that I was "rude when I checked in and that I needed to show more respect for women." These remarks by a clearly clueless and defensive deskclerk that has no understanding of what industry she's working in were the most bizarre I've ever heard as a reaction to a guest complaint. Neither comment by her had any basis whatsoever and were surely uttered to deflect dealing a can of worms that she has to deal with every day. As I left I know the GM was being told of I and my partners early departure. 2 rooms walking out the door. The GM never called me. I guess they don't care. I know calling Red Roof Customer Service would be a waste of time because I've done it before. So far, as a business traveler I've spent about 4000 nights in hotels. Heed my warnings.

Its near Santa Cruz but less pricey than anything in Santa Cruz. The actual location isn't very inviting, an agricultural and industrial part of town, although just off the highway.
I wanted a basic room at a reasonably price without a lot of frills. That is exactly what I got.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Watsonville.
I might recommend it to friends.
