Excellent
73 year old traveling for leisure

My sister and I liked this hotel the minute we entered the lobby. The name "Watertown" is appropriate, not just because it's located in rainy Seattle, but because you're reminded of water throughout the lobby. The front desk looks like a wave, lights shaped like raindrops hang from the ceiling, and there's a stream outside the door. Bicycles are free for the asking. If you need anything, just ask the staff. They go beyond the call of duty in their hospitality, especially during the complimentary wine tasting hour.

We liked our spacious corner room even better. Large white cups invited us to brew Starbuck's coffee and sit by the bay window that overlooked the Seattle skyline lit up at night. Each of us put on a white terrycloth robe. A sign said we could buy the robe for $75. Two queen-size beds were set across from a spacious entertainment center. Two sets of pillows were marked "feather" and "synthetic." I chose "synthetic" for my allergies.

In the dressing room, a large mirror and sink area was surrounded by lights. Above a small refrigerator and microwave, there was complimentary popcorn and a variety of teas. The no-host bar was stocked with local wine. Best of all, the black, white, and tan colors of the room were restful, and the design was modern Scandinavian simplicity. The blue night light was the final, elegant touch that sent us into a peaceful sleep.
