42 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
It was a very upscale hotel with golfing available, dining al fresco and an excellent chef. The staff was wonderful and the room was gorgeous, as was the golf course view. I loved it.
They had information classes to attend, golfing, varied dining locations with different chefs. They also had a computer room with picture printers, games and work stations. There were a beautiful smoking area and al fresco dining area.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
Though this hotel is lovely & has a beautiful setting, it is difficult to get a good night's sleep. The problem is w/the doors. They will not close quietly & must be slammed shut to be secure. Not a good thing.
What a breath of fresh air greeted us after a lost-luggage flight into Raleigh-Durham and the desk clerk made sure we had enough toiletries while our bags caught up with us.

Luxury hotel right on the door step of Duke University. Beautiful rooms with views of the golf course. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and Bull Durham Bar was great for light food and relaxing. Wooded pathways around the hotel make for great walks. Relaxed atmosphere, although most residents on business.

Excellent
I enjoyed my stay very much because the Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. They would bend over backward to make sure you had everything you needed and worked hard to make you as comfortable as possible.
