The hotel is centrally located and decently priced for its location in San Francisco. The room and bathroom were tiny, but it's San Francisco. I was there for a marathon and requested a quiet room at the time I booked my stay. I was given a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor from the top, high enough up to avoid the street noise. It's a small boutique hotel so if you're looking for pools and workout rooms, this isn't the hotel for you, but the staff is helpful and accommodating and if you're walking around San Francisco who needs an additional work out? Although the rooms could stand a little decor updating, especially the bed linens, the historic hotel is otherwise well maintained and supplied in line with it's 3.5 to 4 star hotel rating and it's a comfortable home base for someone who doesn't like to waste a ton of time in their room on vacation.
