50 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I booked this hotel nearly a year prior. There were 3 adults in our party, so I had requested 2 beds. At check in we were given a room with 1 bed. We were told this was the only room available. But they wouldn't charge us for the roll away...nice. At check out one of the adults in our party told the desk clerk how disappointed he was with his stay. The response...everyone is, good sales job. I wrote to Marriott how disappointed we were with our stay and the service but received no response. For the price of this room I would recommend staying at the Outrigger Waikoloa condos next door. We had 5 condos reserved and everyone loved them.

65 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I reserved an ocean view, high floor, king size room and I got a third floor room in a cul-de-sac with a double bed and a view of a palm tree. One outdoor bar serves as all types of restaurants for breakfast in the morning to high end meals in the evening. The hotel had very poor service and a dinner reservation for a certain table was not honored.

I am not likely to return to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The new renovations done were absolutely wonderful! The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool and the bar were great, clean and well priced.

This hotel made me feel hip: Staying at the best hotel in Waikoloa with the best luau made me feel hip!

I am very likely to return to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

62 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The location on Kona coast was excellent. I especially appreciated the softness of the bed, the beautiful view and the walking trails around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. The buffet breakfast was superior with much variety and excellent tasting food.

This hotel made me feel inspired: The beauty of the scenery helped me to connect back with nature. The second floor restaurant which was open allowed birds to fly through which, again, gave me a feeling of being one with nature and the beauty of nature.

I am very likely to return to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel is understaffed. The pool is being built. There is a small pool available. The rooms are nice.

However, you cannot answer your phone if you’re in bed because it’s behind you. The beds are big and comfortable, and there are no bedside tables. You must enter the hotel through a makeshift entrance, which appears to be the back of the hotel.

For the money, it was not worth it to me. The Hilton is next door and would be a better choice as long as this construction is in progress. I also stayed at the Maui Marriott last week. It's also is under construction and is very short staffed. The rate was $475.00 I was most annoyed that they don’t inform you when making the reservation.

I am not likely to return to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa.
I would not recommend it to friends.
