Horrible
27 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Wow, what a horrible place. The hotel itself wasn’t too bad, but here’s the story.

I booked this hotel about a month before our stay in Honolulu. It was the only night of an 8 day trip that we weren't camping, on the evening of the Pro Bowl. I asked in advance if there was parking available and was promised it would be in close proximity. I called on our way to the hotel just before we arrived and was assured, yep $10 right next door.

We get to the hotel, and are booked on the 5th floor, which has no elevator up to it, no big deal. After 40 minutes of driving around looking for parking we finally get a spot, $30 later. We popped in our frozen pizza in and sat down to relax, two minutes later the smoke alarm went off. (Frozen pizzas do not burn in two minutes) So my fiancée went down to speak to the manager who had said earlier, “Any problems, just let me know.”

He tells him that the smoke alarm is going off for no reason and the guy says, "That’s OK, we'll just get you right on out of here." My fiancée asked, "What do you mean?" The manager stated, "We have the right to refuse service to anyone, get your stuff and get out before I call the cops.” We told him, go ahead, call the cops, maybe they will be able to suggest a place to stay seeing as we booked this room two months ago, its Pro Bowl, and every hotel is booked.

Needless to say, the cops were great, unfortunately, we ended up having to camp again this night, but the cops told us we would be OK without a permit. I have a feeling that the hotel manager wanted to sell our room to one of the other desperate hotel seekers for a much higher price.

Do not ever stay here, what a joke.
