Honestly it was one of my best experiences while staying in New York City. We usually go once or twice a year and after staying there last January I will be playing for us to stay there again. I read reviews that says the staff is arrogant and unfriendly, but it gets me wondering how these people treated the staff. You only get as much respect as you are given! All my encounters with the staff were great so I do not know what these people are talking about. Also, the room was enormous and a great value compared to other hotels I have stayed.
But take this review as you please! All hotels have their negatives and not everyone's experience will be the same. With that in mind though, I would definitely recommend this place if you are planning to visit NYC.
I've stayed several times at different W hotels throughout NYC and I will definitely seek out another place to stay. The service is terrible. All attitude with no smiles and no one willingly to make a decent effort to accomodate their...

The Tuscany is a perfect spot to get away in the city. It is between Park and Lexington and recommended for a quiet calm area of the city on the weekends. Yet close enough to walk to the busy area of Times Square. Our room was fabulous - great...

It was quiet, restful, cool and very comfortable. There was a sticky substance on the desk when we arrived, but was easily cleaned off. Nobody should have to pay $12 for forgetting a toothbrush!“This hotel was a lovely one night oasis in the middle...

I'm a former New Yorker who now comes to NYC every few months for work or leisure. I decided to treat myself to a stay at the Tuscany and it was well worth it. The staff was great - very accomodating and friendly. There was a problem with the heater ...

This is a wonderful place to stay if you have animals because they allow your pets as well and if you are a tourist and have a pet then this is the place to stay. The rooms are spaciopus and there is a fitness center.
I love to visit the Big Apple, and this was by far my best experience. The W Tuscany was top notch. It had the old historic feel with the very contempary W touch. The location, right by Grand Central, was perfect. Just a few minutes away from...

I have stayed at other W hotels in New York City and San Francisco and the Tuscany is not as good as the others in my view. The floor I was on was excessively dark and the furniture in the room was generic, fashionable but a bit pottery barn. The lobby is too small and hard to roll your bags through. I will not likely return to this location. There are tons of interesting hotels in New York City so there is no reason to use this place given the price. Also an odd club was on the ground floor but it was never used during the three days I was there.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the W New York - The Tuscany.
I might recommend it to friends.
