When the Marriott across the street looks more appealing, you have to wonder who is giving the W properties the 4 Star rating.
I checked in to a smoky smoking floor which I did not request. The room was about 100 square feet and the entire floor...

Horrible
Absolutely terrible. I have stayed in W's in San Francisco and Dallas and they are wonderful and gorgeous. Not this one. Not only was it a shoebox, small room, but it was over used and worn. The furniture was scuffed, the AC didn't work and they ...
35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I was worried about the size of the rooms but my room was on the 18th floor and had high ceilings and plenty of room. The bar was nice(they make a great mojito). I got a massage at the Bliss Spa, very nice. The location is an easy walk to Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave shopping, Central Park, etc
The bathrooms were very nice, I really liked the showers and the bath products.
W's are nice because they are not cookie cutter hotels. They do thing a little different at the W and I like it.
