This place has a great location across from the Waldorf-Astoria. It has a nice lobby and the great bar Whiskey Blue. The rooms are clean and minimalist as you would expect. The AC however is old and noisy. I have stayed in other rooms here before and the same problem. Also, if you are on the street side, you will be bothered by the street noise guaranteed. This place has seen its best days a while ago. If you want this location, the Marriott East Side is 2 doors down and a better value although the rooms will be generally smaller. If you want the "W" ambiance, there are better choices than this one. I will hand it to the staff though. They were friendly, efficient and made us feel very welcome.
