I have stayed at the W a couple of times before, although it was few years ago. After my last visit this past week, I will never stay there again. The hotel had overbooked and had people waiting on their rooms for up to 7 hours on the day I...

Excellent
I recently spent a lovely 3 nights at the W New Orleans and could not have been more pleased with the hotel. The check in was busy but very efficient and I was able to get my room quickly. The hotel is very chic and modern but it is still very...

I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. The service is horrible. I wouldnt bother booking a reservation because they overbook and your reservation is meaningless. The site makes it seem like they cater to dogs. There is no "dog package". For the dog treats, it is cheap milk bones, not gourmet treats like the W in the French Quarter. Yes its trendy but whatever to their whenever!! I do admit I love the beds.

This Hotel does not deserve 4 stars! There was a stain in the toilet that took two people to clean up. I was afraid to leave anything left out in the room because of the appearance of the staff. There were stains on the towels. I think I was bit my fleas in the bed, I'm glad I didn't get crabs. The pool was not heated... One word for this hotel Gheto!!!!

Mediocre
I stayed here in August of 2007 for one night with friends. Their room was just as bad as mine. But, they will write their own review.
To begin with, I was checked into an occupied room. Thankfully the person wasn't in the room or I could have...

I waited in the lobby for 2 hours after check-in because the room was not ready. Finally the Consierge intervened and managed to get me into the room, otherwise I think I might still be waiting there. The room was nice but nothing special. The bedding is clearly first rate. It's a little confusing figuring out where things are due to a lack of signage. Twice at the bar, I had to wait for the customer in front of me to receive change because there was inadaquate change in the cash register. The music is thematic and constant, and fortunately I liked it, but it was obvious that it was repeating after a while. I just didn't buy the trendiness they are trying to sell.
I am not likely
to return to the W New Orleans.
I might recommend it to friends.

Decoration of the rooms are so refreshing, but service was terrible. They lost my car and finally found it somewhere near the hotel and couldn't find the keys. We need to call the rental company and they sent another car. First day they forgot to wake me up at 7:15 and their clock wasn't working.. I told that to the hotel manager. He wrote a $50 off voucher to their restaurant and nobody fixed the clock. I am surprised by the awfulness of the service here. Service is the most important not some fancy decoration or words in this kind of business.
