I borrowed a luggage transporter to move luggage to my room and halfway across the lobby and a bellhop stopped me and told me that was not allowed. I told him that as a former bellhop myself I was a trained professional and that at the price per night I ought to be able to move my own luggage if I liked, particularly as there were no bellhops around to help. He was obnoxious and angling for a tip, which he did not receive. Later, my motorcycle was blocked in in the circular driveway out front and not readily movable. At the same time I was paying eighteen dollars for parking and I could not move my motorcycle at will. No refund was to be made. Topping it off, the W hotel has the nerve to charge about three dollars for a cup of breakfast coffee. The whole W experience was wretched and an abysmal value.
I am not likely
to return to the W New Orleans.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The service was not that great. The hotel was ok, but the location seemed more dangerous than when I stayed at same hotel just before the Hurricane Katrina.

I used to live in New Orleans and the W hotel is where I would just sometimes hang out. I now love to stay here when visiting NOLA. This staff gives great personal attention.

I really enjoyed the W hotel. It has a hip vibe, a helpful staff and it is centrally located to the business district and the French Quarter. The room was comfortable and the gym was super nice. I am planning to stay there again on my next trip to New Orleans.
The W hotel has a great bar and restaurant which I enjoyed visiting. Its employees seem to be happy to be at work and ready to help you find something fun to do in the area.

I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel has a great location but you cannot park without using valet service. The valet left our car running for at least thirty minutes after we got out. The entrance made confusing to get to the lobby and annoying dance music was playing almost everywhere you went. I really liked the Bliss products in the bathroom.
I definitely felt this was a very hip place considering the disco ball in the valet area, the constant dance music playing and the decor of the rooms.

to return to the W New Orleans.
