Good
Oceanfront location and pool; Balcony.Confusing floor layout. Lobby location was not convenient.“We enjoyed our stay. Very family friendly. Beachfront location was a plus. The kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool...
Location is great. Every room has a view of the water. However, the penthouse suite is not worth the cost. It was our honeymoon night and the room was dirty, burn marks in comforter, and mattress, balcony was filthy, furniture on balcony never been cleaned. They indicated it was their best penthouse and it did not live up to the name. We did not feel like newly weds at their hotel. Not only did we stay there but we gave them business by recommending them to our guests. That was at least another 10 rooms that were booked. The aftermath of trying to resolve our dissatisfaction has been a horrible experience. They have been reluctant to return calls and the only thing they offered was another night stay on them. However, we are from there, why would we want to stay in a hotel when we can stay at home. On a good note, all of our guests did enjoy their rooms and stay.

The location was fantastic and we ended up with a room with a spectacular view. They had very clean rooms and a very friendly staff. I was very satisfied.
They had more than enough parking for guests. You were greeted instantly when walking into any of the doors, instead of hounded for information on where you were staying.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center.
I might recommend it to friends.

My family stayed at the Virginia Beach Resort from Sunday of Labor Day weekend to Friday of that week to celebrate my grandma's birthday. We are local so only got to stay Sunday night (my 3 children, husband and I) and came back to visit daily after school and for the "official" birthday dinner in Tradewinds. We had 4 suites total. My aunt and uncle who came to Virginia Beach from Texas had the penthouse suite which was AMAZING! All of our suites were on the top floor (8th floor) and had great views. Grandmas and our side were looking at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and my great aunts were looking over the bay and the First Landing State Park. We went on the waverunners and big water bikes, swam in the pool and enjoyed every minute of our time there. We ranged in ages from 3 to 80+ years old and there was something for everyone. Very peaceful location and the beach is very big. Tradewinds restaurant was excellent. Our server was so friendly, his name is Emil and the manager Mr. Martin even sang Happy Birthday to my grandma solo. She truly will never forget this birthday. We plan on coming back for the same time next year. We can't wait. I will recommend this hotel and the friendly staff to anyone that I meet!

Mediocre
pros: Great Location, Nice PoolI stayed at this hotel for a few nights when I was looking for a home in the area. We had a very rude reception coming into the hotel, we had just driven eight hours and we had to check in late. Even though our credit...
