Situated just minutes away from Penn Station and the Empire State Building with the Jacob Javits Convention Center and Herald Square shopping nearby. There is a large choice of rooms, each varying in size and price but they are all comfortable and clean. The Avalon Bar and Grill offers a 3-course prix fixe menu and also includes a bar and lounge. The breakfast there is lovely but there are plenty of places across the street too. There's a nice library and sitting room, which are great for relaxing in after sightseeing. We had booked and paid for 2 rooms and only had 1 room when we arrived, and were sold out. The beds were horrible. the pillows like rocks and uncomfortable blankets.Service was not great.Looked better in photos.
