Experience the grandeur of days gone by in this elegant 1856 Italianate Victorian mansion, of a former banker and lead baron, sitting high on a hill of over 1 1/2 acres. Stroll through the gardens and view hundreds of tulips blooming in the spring. Observe the humming birds through the windows as breakfast is served on crystal, antique china, and silver. Let the rest of the world go by...as you enjoy afternoon tea (or fresh lemonade), wine, and hors d'oeuvres either inside or on our 3 porches furnished with wicker, floral-painted rockers, ferns and flowers. Our eight guestrooms, adorned with fresh flowers, have private baths, pillow-top mattresses, and Egyptian-cotton sheeting. Ornate Victorian headboards (some eight feet high) make you feel like royalty. Our four parlors have pocket doors, original woodwork, marble fireplaces and 12' ceilings. Our grand open spiral staircase separates the parlors. The many flowers, plants, and fountains, both inside the mansion and outside, create a peaceful atmosphere - a place of tranquility.

It was very relaxing to be in the mist of the Victorian era. The decor of the "mansion" is beautiful and the parlours are ideally set up for "lying around." The walk to downtown was easy but the steps coming home were a little...

The Mansion itself is beautiful and the rooms are nice a blend of "Old Victorian" with some more "modern" upgrades. My wife and I read our books as we reclined in the yard and played some pool in the parlor room. An overall great and relaxing...
