I really like this place. It's so close to the mall and I could walk to the mall everyday if I wanted to!!!! This place makes me happy. Target, Hyvee, and Steinmart are right next door. My favorite mexican fast food joint, Chipotle's, is within walking distance!!!! There is a really good rennovation project going on at this hotel. This hotel is going to be the next big thing to happen! I would go back, definitely. The bar was classy and comfortable. Homemade food served at the diner. The diner's been around West Des Moines for a long time, so it's considered a classic! The shopping mall was so close I could walk there. Great rennovation plan currently happening. Can't wait to go back next year!!!

I have stayed here several times. I am Surprised to find such negative info.! Older rooms are outdated but clean. New rooms are EXCELLENT!!!!!! Beds are Very comfortable. My husband toss & turns in hotels & I couldn't even feel him move. Diner is AWESOME. Only down fall is all the stairs that connect 2 buildings. Something about being on a hill.
