38 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I booked a Jurassic Kids Suite because I don't consider it a vacation if I have to share my room with my kids (b6, g11, g11) So, here's how it went. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived at 2pm instead of 4pm. No problems. They gave the kids magnetic doodle pads to play with. Our room was ready in about 30 minutes.... Room 1700. It was GREAT! Top Floor. Facing the Pool. Excellent View! Close to the elevators and close to the laundry room.
The room service was GREAT but as expected pricey. The housekeeping was excellent and I left them tips accordingly. I had plenty unlocked valuables but nothing was touched. The room was cleaned twice daily. The Keurig Coffee Maker provided for use at no cost ended up costing me $150 because I had to buy one as soon as I got home. Extra coffee and real creamer was left as requested. Free Nightly turn down service and bottled water.
The walk to the parks was lovely. The whole place was just absolutely lovely. The pool is comparable to a very high end resort I like Palm Springs. The pool was just wonderful. I was a little concerned about the lovely mallards swimming in it each morning and evening. Perhaps it's a short term problem. The kids loved the pool. The nightly movies were great. On our last night, we all sat outside and watched Harry Potter. Fun.
But by far the best part of this hotel was the complimentary Express Pass. The purchased Express passes are very pricey and quite limited. To the contrary, The hotel's free express passes allow you to ride as many rides as you want, over and over, without waiting in lines that were often between 45-90 minutes. My kids and I rode every roller coaster until we were satisfied then we started on the smaller rides, the log rides, the shows. I think we actually did everything in each park. Not having to buy $89 express passes for 5 people for 7 days saved me so much money. I will ALWAYS
The nightly 10 minute wall back to the resort was so relaxing. By the time we got back we had decided to lounge outside at the pool and spas. The Towel Service was EXCELLENT. The Ice Cream Bula Bar was serving some outstanding treats.
Also being allowed to use our hotel key to buy anything at the hotel, in the parks or on City Walk was fabulous. It just makes everything so much easier to not worry about keeping up with cash in my pocket. In My pocket I had. 2 cards: Hotel Key and Drivers License. That's it. everything else locked in the room safe.
