I love the Portofino Bay hotel! It is the only hotel that I want to stay at! It is quite expensive but it is worth every penny! I always get the best service when I stay at this hotel!
It makes every guest feel elegant because they always make sure that your rooms is clean and you get the best service possible.
I am very likely
to return to the Universal's Loews Portofino Bay Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I thought this hotel was over the top, not my style. They promised wireless internet access in the lobby but they did not deliver it. I was told repeatedly that there was an issue with my computer which was not true. Internet access in the room was ten dollars per day.
I am not likely
to return to the Universal's Loews Portofino Bay Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Love the idea that when you stay on property you can have access to go on the ride without waiting in line for hours which that's how long it looks. Clean Villas and interesting things to see when you stroll through the hotel. and the water taxis to and from the park and to citywalk.

Excellent
WOW! My family of 4 spent a long weekend at Portofino Bay and absolutely loved every minute of it. The hotel, the room, the food, the pool, the grounds....all just beautiful & clean. We had so much fun at Islands of Adventure AND Universal Studios......

Portofino is a fine example of a theme hotel designed to let people experience the magic of italy. Why we choose to do this on a trip to America is a puzzel but hey thats holidays for you.
The roomsare big and clean and the staff helpful always greating you with Italian phrases etc adds to the experience .
The water taxis are fun and easy to use running every 15 min however they could do with a little better organisation .
The restaurants are nice and well priced but they did seem to close a little too early , however with the Universal city walk a short ride on the water taxi away its nice to sample the many fine restaurants around .
Out and about its got the obvious theme parks attached but also very close to several shopping malls .
We booked for the last two nights of our holiday and used it as a stop over before catching the plane from Sanford airport which is about 30 min away.
The hotel is great for this however I would not hesitate to book a full holiday in the Portofino and look forward to my next trip.

If you are going to Orlando to see Universal Studios this is the way to go. Beautiful hotel, you could spend hours just exploring the hotel and all it has to offer. The boat shuttle to and from the park is just the best - saves tons of time, and it is a beautiful and relaxing way to get to the park.
The restaurants at the hotel are the best! I don't think we could have found better food then if we had driven around orlando for hours.
Wonderful service, everything was clean. Very romantic for couples, and plenty to do for kids as well. We went during Christmas time and they the hotel would put on mini shows and things for the kids and Santa would come to visit.
Lots of fun, highly recommended, I dream of returning.
