The inn has a fantastic location in the heart of downtown historic Benicia, and is within walking distance of Benicia Bay, parks, fine restaurants, and better shopping. The Union Hotel is within a short drive of the Benicia Industrial Park and downtown Vallejo. The Union Hotel is also centrally located to many major airports, including OAK, SFO, and SAC.

Good
The Union Hotel is a hotel and a restaurant located in the heart of Benicia. You are just steps away from the straits. Stroll the streets for window shopping or for exercise.

Horrible
The bar was nice. The web-site photo's were very nice, the rooms did not even come close to what we saw on the web. The staff is very rude. I would not ever recommend this Hotel to anyone, staff member Olivia was so rude we almost cancelled our stay.

The water is slow to fill the great Jacuzzi type tubs. The wireless internet was spotty because the transmitter is on top of the computer behind the desk on the other side of the wall from the elevator. The have short walks to nice places. The coffee shop across the street was very nice. The shore and walk to the old ferry pier are great views and comfortable places. They have a bar and restaurant in the building, but not the same owners. They also have good free breakfasts.
