Unicoi State Park and Lodge Motel - Page 1

Unicoi Lodge has a main lodge with hotel-like rooms as well as several clusters of small cottages. The cottages are very nice. All have A/C and are clean and comfortable. They are built very close together, so you will not have much privacy or solitude if there is high occupancy. Also, try not to reserve the cabins in group A. A-cabins are next to the road and traffic can be noisy, which is dissappointing if you think you are going to stay in the woods. Unicoi considers a full size bed to sleep two, so if you like more room, go for a bigger cabin with more beds. The restaurant in the lodge is good. Food is a bit institutional served in buffet style, but was not dissappointed with it. Location is very close to Helen, GA.

Nice hotel-- terrific value. Cabins are nice, comfortable, and cozy. Hotel rooms very clean and comparable to "name" hotels in town. Staff helpful and attentive.
