Tuxpan Resort - Page 1

We stayed at the Tuxpan first week of July 2007. The Hotel is beautiful and very clean. The people there are super friendly especially William the pool bartender!!! You didn't have alot of choice at the buffet but it was still very good......you have to understand that they don't have much of a choice when it comes to the spices like we do in Canada, but we did enjoy it very much and we will go back again.

I was there in November 2006 and on our arrival the we found out that the pool had been drained for repairs, but were told it would be up and running by Sunday. We used the weekend to drive to Havana and swim with the dolphins. Monday no pool, no trip rep. He got off the bus before we ever got to the hotel on Friday. We did see him late in the week and he talked to the hotel who told us on Friday that they would compensate us with a free side trip, of course we were leaving on Saturday and could not go on any side trips. We did take late check out but found our selves locked out of our room at noon.

The maid was panicky when see couldn't get her towel count right, we took one to the beach. I don't know what would happen to her if one went missing.

There were other problems, the elevator was never level with the floor when the door opened, our air conditioner needed repair, when it was it dripped on the floor, the food was limited in the buffet so you ended up eating chips at the pool bar, very good.

If you want a small hotel this might suit you but it is not a four star hotel, if you want one, stay at a super club, there is one both sides of tuxpan.
