Excellent
I was on business and needed a room for only one night.
The staff at the Tudor were very accomodating for a one night stay and I was fortunate to have been placed in a great room with a wonderful view of the city and the river.

We were very surprised by the small size of our room. We had stayed in Atlanta the night before in a room that cost 1/3 of the price and was five times as large and nice. I understand some of that is just the age of the hotel and NYC in general, but needless to say, we were expecting so much more for the price tag and were disappointed. The staff was nice and the location was OK for us - walking distance or a short cab ride to most attractions that were on our list. The room itself had seen better days and seemed dank - by the end of our stay, there was a noticeable smell of mildew in the room. The staff was pleasant, but not inviting, and we knew right away that this hotel stay would not compare to cheaper hotels that we have visited in San Francisco, Chicago, etc. In hindsight, I wish that we would have saved the $200 that we spent on cab rides and put that into a nicer hotel. Next time we go to New York City, we will be prepared to pay a higher premium. I wouldn't recommend the Tudor to anyone who will be spending a good amount of time in their room.
Watch out for this Tudor Hotel

I stayed in the Tudor Hotel and advise against it! I found a dead rat in my room when I was there. Unfortunately for me, I didn't find it until the morning after my stay as I had gotten in late. Needles to say, I left immediately!! There are so many nice hotels in NYC, there is NO NEED to stay in a hotel that has such poor standards of health and cleanliness. I called the dept. of health after staying here....hopefully they will be fined heavily and not make this kind of terrible mistake again. In any event, I completely advise against staying here!!!
