On April 2, 1990, Donald J. Trump unveiled the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort. Unprecedented in craftsmanship and opulence, the awe-inspiring architectural masterpiece is filled with the finest carpets, chandeliers and works of art in the tradition of the world's most grand and enchanting palaces. Among the billion dollar property's most remarkable statistics is that the hotel have One of the largest casinos in the world, with slot machines, gaming tables, poker tables and a state-of-the-art simulcast facility. $14 million worth of German crystal chandeliers, including 245,000 piece chandeliers in the casino alone, each valued at a cost of $250,000, and taking over 20 hours to hang. 4 1/2 times more steel than the Eiffel Tower.

As usual, a stay in the Chairman's Tower was a luxorious respite. The bed and bedding top notch and extremely comfortable, the shower large, clean, and filled with upscale beauty products, and the TV a flat screen. For $169 a night, one would think the wifi access would be free, but no - one must pay $12 extra for that.
I arrived at 9 PM to find nearly all of the restaurants were clsoed because of the filming of a Jennifer Aniston movie. The two that were open had long lines. I walked over to neighboring Showboat after a frustrating effort to find my way out of the Taj that seemed to take forever. Big sign for House of Blues beckoned me, but about arrival it was closed as it is only open on weekends. In fact, the only restaurant I could find open at Showboat was an expensive ITalian one, so I walked past the Taj to Resorts and after circlign the premises for what seemed like an exhaustive period of time, I finally found a little coffee shop open - the Beach House. Sat down at 10:20 - no one in the restaurent - got my bacon cheeseburger ($12) at 10:40. No such thing as a free refill on my gingerale ($2.99) so I was charged for two glasses.
What happened to Atlantc City?! I gambled about $600 for about three hours ending up even and had accumulated $14 in Trump dollars which are essentially worthless and expire after 6 months - since I am from Washington state, this really sucks. Everythign you want to do you have to stand in line for and the people waiting on you seem tired and unconcerned. Stick to Vegas!

The Taj Mahal was not a good experience. Upon booking over the phone, was quoted at a lower rate than what I was charged upon checkout. Additional services were billed to the room when that was specifically not what was asked. After leaving the Taj, ...
The Trump Taj provided a relaxing and quiet retreat for my boyfriend and I. My only problem was there were no king rooms available at check-in but it worked to my advantage because after complaining I asked for a room in the Chairman Tower. The rooms are beautiful and brand new! Some people complained that it is a further walk (its connected by a short corridor) but it was great because it was secluded and quiet.
Got a good Internet deal with AAA discount, so I stayed here two nights. Arrived Sunday, they had very late check-in time, but they let me check in several hours early. (Later, they let me check out a few hours late as well.) Room was a good size,...
I've been going here for 10+ years! Been around to all the rest but still keep coming back. Don't listen to all the complainers, some are never...
