My husband and I stayed here in September. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms clean and service was excellent. Swim up bar was amazing. Plan on returning same time in the upcoming year. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Hotel Blue formally Tropical Winds sucks. I'd rather sleep on the beach than in the hotel. My awlful experience started when we arrived at the hotel and found that the parking deck looked abandoned and creepy. The people at the front desk completely ignored us when we first came in. Someone was in the back counting money and for about 5 minutes pretended not to acknowledge us. We check in and we went to the first room. The room was filthy and everything in it was very old. We had been told that all of the rooms had been recently rennovated. The sofa was very dirty and had stains that looked like it had been saturated with oil and dirt. The frid was barely working and the room smelled stale. We then requested to be moved, after about 10 minutes I went back down to the front desk. We were then moved to another room. This room was better but it was still not as described on their website. It was late when we arrived so we went out for food. When we got back, my sister and my 2 year old niece were trying to shower. They let the water run for about 10 minutes. We did not have hot water. They had to take a cold shower because the office was closed. My niece ended up with a cold. After my cold shower I prepared for bed. I pulled down the blanet, there was BLOOD on the blanket/bedspread. Once again I tried to call the front desk and then security. I was told by security that the linen room was locked and that they could not go in it. We should have left at that time but it was so late. They brought up a cart for the night. My newphew slept on the cart so that I wouldn't have to. The next morning I immediatedly went to the front desk to speak with the manager. I was told that they did not have a manager and that they used the manager at Captains Quarters. I gto the contact information for the fill in manager. I tried several times to reach her and had left several messages on her voice mail, so I know she got them. Not once did I get a call back from her or any one else. I have search the internet to find the owners or corporate offices, but have not been able to find anything. I regret staying here for that night and against our better judgement to cancel our reservations following the first incident and find another hotel, we mad the terrible mistake and stayed anyway.

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE (the rating should be lower than a 1.0)

Let me tell you what happen to me the reason why I am so freaking upset with my stay that was suppose to be relaxing, enjoyable, and a VACATION. -- Hotel didn’t look like it did on the computer than the man @ check in (Saturday) told me at the desk 15mins before check in that my hotel room wasn’t cleaned because the maids are running behind for me to go get something to eat or go shopping for awhile than come back and my room might be ready. Finally got checked in @ 4:30pm and walk in the room (7th Floor) and the room was very small compared to what was on the computer. Sunday I had to have someone come by and fix the lights in the kitchen because they went out. Later that night I had to call maintenance again to have the bulbs fixed AGAIN because the first person never fixed it. Tuesday I had went down to the main office to let them know that something was wrong with the fridge so they had to REPLACE it. Wednesday had to go back down there again but first go STUCK on the elevator trying to get down there to say something about the lights in the bathroom because a set of them was out (STILL NEVER WAS FIXED BEFORE WE CHECK OUT). Went to go speak with the manager and he was off on Tuesday/Wednesday so the RUDE girl at the counter told me to come back after 12:00pm on Thursday. FINALLY got down there to speak with him and the girl got an attitude at the front desk because I asked to speak with him about my stay. Manager (Tim) actually listen to what I had to stay and he said that he was very sorry about what happen and that he would give me 1/2 off Thursday night. Check out day (Saturday) the same guy that checked me in (old, gray hair, w/glasses, & didn’t know what he was doing) told me that the computer was down and that I will need to trust him to get a credit back on the bands (to get into the pool with). I also told him that the manager said that I will be getting a credit and he didn’t know nothing about it. I told him I would like to have a call before 12:00 to let me know how much it was. *NEVER RECEIVED A CALL*

Here are my reviews from my stay June 14-21 @ Hotel Blue

*Customer Service SUCKED (mostly all of them was RUDE)

*Hotel looks nothing like what it does on the internet

*Swim up pool/bar isn’t completed nor will it have the waterfall coming off the top like it shows in the picture both on the internet and also in the lobby at the hotel

*Need more elevators to reduce the wait time

*Rooms smaller than blueprint on internet

*Parking Deck WAY TO SMALL (very close head on collusions several times)

*Hot Tub near the lazy river wasn’t completed until about Friday

*4th Floor @ the laundry room has mildew on the ceiling

*Elevators get stuck in between rooms all the time

*Too much money for a crappie place

Things that I did or somewhat liked:

*Maid on the 7th floor was nice

*Not far from attractions, stores, souvenirs

*Manager giving me a refund (but STILL wasn’t enough of how much crap I went through to get things fixed around there)
