My wife and I were looking for something special for our 30th Wedding Anniversary, and we found it at Tropical Shores. Room and location were great, with clean, fresh rooms and beautiful grounds, but it was the staff that made the entire experience
Me and my wife have been traveling to Siesta Key for approximately 10 years. We have a 4 year old daughter and have included her in our tradition of going to Crescent Beach for the Memorial Day weekend. We also love to stay at Tropical Shore Beach...
My husband and I spent a weekend here and LOVED it!! I am so picky about where we stay and I was so happy with Tropical Shores. The location was great- close to restaurants, not directly on the beach, but it really didn't matter because the walk to...
The staff over there was just amazing. I was really early. The room was not ready yet but they were very courteous and they called me and soon as it was and even let me come in a little early. I enjoyed my stay so much I wanted to stay another night ...
Really, liked everything... was super clean and the staff went out of their way to help us. They even printed our boarding passes for us, which saved us a lot of time at the airport. The only thing I guess we might have changed ...for it to be...

A decade ago, my parents had to basically drag me out of our Philadelphia home to vacation down in Sarasota, Florida. But the minute we pulled up to Tropical Shores Beach Resort, I was thanking them for it.
On a recent visit to Sarasota, Tropical Shores was the first place that came to mind and, ten years later, it was as beautiful and serene as ever. The resort provides the privacy of a beach home, the charm of an intimate community, and the fun of a top-notch hotel with its huge pool and convenient location just steps away from the gorgeous Siesta Key Beach.
Siesta Beach boasts the whitest and softest sand in the world and is consistently ranked among the top 10 beaches in the world. I've been to a lot of beaches and I have to say, Siesta Key tops my list of favorites. After sipping pina colodas on a private beach in Cozumel, I STILL have to say that I'd rather be digging my toes into that luxurious Siesta sand anyday.
I suggest spending your Sunday night at the Siesta Key drum circle, where men, women and children of all ages come to let their hair down and drum and dance the night away! It's free and open to everyone, which is one of those beautiful things about Sarasota. Afterwards, head into Siesta Village for a refreshing drink and seafood at one of the many great bars and restaurants. After a relaxing night's sleep, you can prepare yourself a little breakfast with food you purchase at nearby Crescent Market in your room's kitchen or head over to the nearby Broken Egg or one of the Village's other brunch places.
There is a lot of fun to be had on Siesta (and throughout Sarasota), but Tropical Shores is the perfect place to come back and relax. You can play a sport with the other guests or float in the big (and clean!) pool. Pure relaxation: that's the experience you'll have.
My husband and I spent three days at the Tropical Shores over Memorial Day weekend.
We found the hotel to be very nice and the beach was beautiful. We were able to checkin early and we were also given a late checkout when we asked. We loved...

We loved the beach. The hotel was great. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. Spent most of the time at the beach and hotel. We didn't use our car the three days we were there. We did not like the love bugs. I guess they are around for a couple weeks this time of year. Siesta Key is as beautiful as we read. We rented bikes and rode around the island in the evenings. Tropical Shores is a good hotel. It is very tropical and clean. The people that work there are very nice. Good managment and a well ran. We would like to come back. All the rooms are non-smoking too and we liked that. I would say that it's a perfect place to stay and go to the beach.
Fantastic time with the kids!
