The condo itself is amazing, the pool is wonderful, and it has everything you could want for a good vacation- minus the beach. To get to the condo's beach you first have to walk across a busy street and then through to the private beach of a neighboring hotel. Once you get there the beach is still less-than-stellar. You are not on the ocean. The neighboring hotel backs up to a "lagoon" also known as a large, stinking, brown expanse of giant toad infested water. I am not joking about the giant toads, do not go to the beach at night. What makes it worse is that the real ocean is within sight, right across a chestdeep wade through what I affectionately call "The Lagoon of Black Death". If you happen to successfully cross the lagoon and get to the real beach, please go back before the tide comes in. This story comes from my personal expierence of swimming across the lagoon of black death in the black of night. Those were the scariest 3 minutes of my entire life. All in all, I highly recomend the condo but please, for your own safety, go to Lovers Key Park if you're looking for a good beach.
We enjoyed the comfortable, clean and updated condo and large pool...Lots of room and our own lanai...Close to a variety of tourist destinations! Would stay...

Okay
It's not a total dive, but...
1. The hotel is on the opposite of the cute, picturesque town. To get to the town restaurants and shops, you'll need to drive or wait in the Florida sun for the trolley.

The resort ad was misleading about being beachfront. The beach was across the street and behind another hotel with private access. It wasn't a good beach, it smelled badly and dirty. The resort was a very nice family resort with a nice pool, bar-b-que grills, and very nice condos. We all had a good time and our granddaughters had a great time. There were lots to see and do.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Tropical Sands Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.
