30 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I have been to Vegas a few times and this was the best experience I've had. Most comfortable bed, quick and easy check in, courteous staff, clean, and I loved the modern touches. Gave that expensive feel without the expensive price tag!

Not many kids if you are looking for a more adult atmosphere. The pool was a little crowded but it was hot and they had DJ's out there.

Within walking distance of all the stuff you want to see.

member icon Not For Old Farts Anymore - Love TI!!

While everyone certainly has the right to their own opinion, all those "old farts" that can not enjoy some quality adult fun should not be going to Vegas in the first place! I mean, come on, have you picked up a paper or looked at the hotel websites for the last four years?! Treasure Island (aka TI) represents the "evolution" from the once (somewhat) family-friendly direction Vegas WAS taking, to the modern, active adult lifestyle. The TRUTH is this hotel is a legitimate AAA Four Diamond property!

TI's newly renovated rooms are much better than what most large urban areas offer, and nearly half the price. They have the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced in my life! The housekeeping staff are very friendly, and I enjoyed the company of all the bartenders and casino dealers throughout the entire the hotel.

How can anyone complain about the FREE Sirens of TI show? You see a huge ship full of bare chested pirate that sinks into a large body of water, and very attractive and talented Sirens signing and dancing until the fireworks blast into the air. What is there NOT to like?

It's within walking distance of just about everything on the Strip. I honestly could not recommend a better hotel for the money in Las Vegas.

47 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Im a 47 year old family man with three children. When we went through Vegas in 2002 we walked along the strip taking in the sights and thought the TI show outside was entertaining, so we decided to stay there this time to make it fun for the kids. Well, they changed the show.

My wife said whats with the stripper show? My 11 year old boy called it trashy. He was right. The looks on the faces of many of the elderly folks was very telling as well. Their idea of a "pirate show" is now a very slutty display with matching dialog. Those with high levels of testosterone seemed to enjoy it though. TI managment gives new meaning to the term "sell out crowd".

Before that let down, we stayed in a motel 6 in downtown Anaheim for half the price in a bigger room, every bit as clean and much friendlier service.

Never again TI.

66 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My wife and I just returned from this hotel. Since we are from LA we are both veterans of Las Vegas hotels. In fact my wife had been staying at the Flamingo for company business and we decided to meet and stay for a few days at the TI. The only positive thing I have to say about the hotel was that the beds were comfortable. We got a reasonable rate but more than the Flamingo, which is why chose to move to this hotel since neither of has had ever stayed there. They neglected to tell us that the 'bargain' was because we were in old rooms that weren't yet renovated. They were old-fashioned, cramped without much in the way of amenities. The worst aspect for us, since we are professionals who have to mix business with pleasure, was the Internet connectivity. Besides the outrageous charge of $14 per day, per each of our computers, it never worked correctly. Cox cable supplied the service and even though we had two of their techs and 3 of the hotels techs and they even installed a new access point directly into our room, their network was just not up to the task. Once again, we were told, renovated rooms got a new and different network. Since we were on the 26th floor we were apparently unable to get our iPhones to talk on anything. The staff was just short of surly in most instances. Bellman who essentially threw our bags into the room and wondered what I was talking about when I asked him what we should know about the room. He didn't layout our suitcases on stands like most bellman do but was willing to take our generous tip as though he expected it. The valet, when asked how to get to '800 north on Las Vegas Boulevard', just looked an me blankly and then said he didn't have any idea. I was going to suggest that maybe he ask the four or five other valets at the nearby desk for help but just gave up in disgust. The food at The Steak House, the Buffet and the 'island-themed' restaurant was overpriced and only average, which in Las Vegas means well below-average. I ordered in Irish Whiskey that was served in the wrong glass and was anything but a generous pour. The order taker at Canter's Deli didn't know the difference between a plain or water bagel and an egg bagel. Every little thing had a charge and I felt we were 'nickel and dimed' all through our stay. The staff seemed disinterested, under trained and uncaring about the guests. We hiked over to the Wynn, where the difference was striking and my wife reported good services at the Flamingo. We had occasion to stop by the Palms and found the staff there very refreshing. I would never, ever stay at the TI again and I would recommend against anyone staying there.
