We stayed at the Traverse Bay Inn while we searched for a permanent home. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. Very accomodating and personable, they always have a smie on their faces.

Horrible
Make sure you read the fine print about cancelling 7 days in advance or you get charged!!!! Most hotels need 24 hr cancellation but not this one. My car motor blew up the night before we were to leave so I had to call and cancel our weekend and...
Consumers beware lots of hidden charges that dont show up until you leave. If a complaint is made they dont respond. The staff is very un helpful. stay...
We stayed here for one night when our house had some water damage. After that night we checked out and found a nicer place to stay. We only paid $49, though, on a weeknight in the off season.
The suite honestly reminded me of a college apartment or a place that snow mobilers or skiers would rent for the week. It’s fine to crash for the night, but not anywhere you would want to spend time during the day. The bathroom was tiny, the bedroom was okay but no TV, huge closets in bedroom and hallway. The kitchen was tiny, but did include a 4-burner electric stove and moderately sized refrigerator with a freezer. The microwave was miniature, but I could fit a bowl of oatmeal or probably a cup of hot chocolate. The only living room furniture was an old futon with a dirty-looking cover, a TV stand, and a small table with two chairs.
It’s adequate for some needs, but it’s not a place to relax and enjoy.

Good
This hotel was exactly what we wanted and what they advertised. The rooms were small, but clean.Kitchenette was great for economy conscience family vacations.
Although the location was acceptable, and the price was very competitive, the staff was less than helpful when we informed them about the dozen or so mice that were eating the food in our kitchenette.
