Travelodge by the Bay Motel

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Their complimentary breakfast consisted of stale rolls and coffee.

The hotel was very modest, but so was the price. The TV did not have a volume control and the hot water was out on two mornings, but the staff was friendly enough about it and, for a motel in downtown San Francisco, it was not too much less than I expected. Suffice to say, I would recommend this as a way to do San Francisco cheaply. It was well located, very near Fisherman's Wharf, and not too far from the rest of the city. It had parking and it was an easy drive to the Golden Gate Bridge and elsewhere. Whatever problems I had were acceptable, given the price and the location.

This hotel made me feel practical: It had easy parking and it was cheap, so I think it was practical.

I don't like the fact that a parking fee is required when staying at this facility. As far as I am concerned the parking should be free for a paying client!

Although the reservations were somehow misplaced through the Internet, we were still able to get a room at an incredible price in an incredible location. After the mix-up was cleared up, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
