Our AAA rated, resort area hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Spearfish, in a quiet, residential neighborhood, with adjacent parks and greenbelts. It is just blocks from the Passion Play and Scenic Spearfish Canyon drive. But, you can surf the web in our internet lounge, try your luck in our casino or just relax in our living room in front of the fireplace. Pets are permitted in certain rooms. Pet owners are charged at 10/pet per night. Pet owner must declare pets upon check in. Our pool and hot tub are under construction for the summer of 2009, and an alternate nearby swimming pool and exercise facility will be available free of charge to our registered guests during this time

Travelodge Spearfish (S. D. is 1. 5 miles from Spearfish Canyon and the D. C. Booth National Fish Hatchery, and within walking distance of Black Hills State University, Matthews Opera House, and downtown Spearfish. We went here in July. Spearfish seems to be booked solid during summer weekends, but we were able to get a room at the Travelodge and it was much cheaper than some other brand-name hotels in town.
