A quiet place that was well-situated for us. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced, got the best sleep in three weeks on the road here. Hotel staff are friendly.

The room was very large. It was nice and quiet. Nice breakfast. The pool was being renovated. The people working the front dessk were very friendly and nice. Very good price.

We went here in July. Spearfish seems to be booked solid during summer weekends, but we were able to get a room at the Travelodge and it was much cheaper than some other brand-name hotels in town.

This hotle was horrible! We booked it during a very busy time of year (motorcycle rally) & were terribly disappointed! The room was unsanitary, as we asked several times for it to be recleaned. It was hot, the A/C didn't cool well, so we asked for a fan & were denied. The hot water in the shower ran out after the 1st person. We requested non-smoking & were given smoking & told that was all that was available. However, in talking with new neighbors on our 3rd out of 5 nights, we discovered that there was a room open, that they had stopped in w/out a reservation & were only charged $169 to our $270! When management was asked about a new room & the price, he stated it was "supply & demand" and that we could try our luck next year without a reservation! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Travelodge headquarters still will not return our calls or emails!!

Mediocre
Uncomfortable beds, hot rooms. The beds were uncomfortable. When we walked in, the rooms were incredibly hot. The AC units should have been turned on before we got there. It was confusing to get to the hotel from the highway.

Excellent
Location was easy to find.Had a musty smell when we first arrived, but we aired the room and it went away. I'd recommend this hotel if your looking for a stop along your travels. It's small, but met my needs and the staff was very friendly.
