Travelodge South Padre Island Hotel - Page 1

We were on our honeymoon and liked the fact that the hotel was just a short walk from the beach. We also liked that they had a complimentary breakfast in the morning, so we didn't have to go searching for something on the island. However, the room service was not good. The first night we stayed, room service cleaned everything fairly well. The second night they visibly put much less effort into it, only leaving towels in a pile in the bathroom and not replacing shampoo or soap. The third night they only made up the beds, picked up the dirty towels, and didn't replace anything for us. When we went to the front to ask for more towels, we weren't even acknowledged by the desk person until they were done with their personal call. Tacky. All in all, I think a place like South Padre, which exists mainly for their tourism business should have more amenable, friendly staff, and service at their hotels.

The rooms were nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We were happy with the accommodation.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They showed us around.

I liked the location and I would recommend it to anyone who is on a budget.
