Mediocre
Pet friendly.Seemed old and run down. Desk clerk hard to understand. The best I can say, considering the weather was bad, at least it was a roof over our heads and a place to stay. Seemed old and run down. Needed to have updates as stains, cracks,...
49 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I booked this room on Sidestep - I was traveling to Colorado Springs from Seattle and wanted a place to stay over night. The one review stated the room was "clean." I don't need much, just a clean room. We arrived about midnight. We checked into the room, and we were appalled at what we saw. Crumbs, stains, and all kinds of 'I don't want to know what it is' covered the filthy carpet. I didn't take my shoes off the whole time I was there. There were stains and drips on the walls, and - disgustingly enough - a collection of dried boogers over the beds. (I noticed a similar dried booger collection on the wall next to the toilet in the bathroom and on the ceiling) The space between the beds was the filthiest - obviously whatever pathetic attempt to vacuum the rest of the room had been completely abandoned there.
There were crumbs of some sort on the pillows and sheets.
We called the front desk to ask to be switched to another room (maybe we got a dirty room by mistake) The phone rang and rang but nobody answered.
Since it was bitterly cold outside and since there were not a lot of choices in Rawlins we chose to stay, although we slept (very fitfully) on top of the bedspreads.
Horrible, horrible room. I can not believe these people are getting away with this.
Oh: no battery in the smoke alarm. I checked right before we left in the morning.
Better to sleep in your car that stay in this filthy place.
47 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We were traveling from Colorado Springs back to Seattle. We needed an inexpensive, clean room for us to sleep in for the night. We chose Travelodge because the rate wasn't too bad, and the one review said the hotel was clean.
The more I looked around the room the more appalled and disgusted I felt. There were stains on the walls (spit?) stains on the headboard of the bed, and actual dried boogers on the walls. The bathroom faucet and handles looked like it hadn't ever been cleaned. The toilet bowl was stained. The floor was a collection of hairs and crumbs. The floor in the main room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. There were crumbs, stains and all kinds of stuff I didn't want to step on. I kept my shoes on the whole time.
I called the front desk - it was about midnight - and there was no answer. I remembered seeing a large sign in the office when we checked in that said 'No Refunds.' Small wonder they put this sign up.
I kept my clothes on. I took the bedspread off the bed and slept under the thin polyester blanket - which had numerous cigarette burns in it.
Never again, I will not only never stay at this rat hole again, I will never stay at a Travelodge again.
