It's shocking that this property is still allowed to remain in operation. Common AC means that even a "no smoking" room is a smoking room. Entrance doors all swing out- serious security problem. Carpeting is ragged, things either need painting, or t

This is the 4th time we've stayed at the Monaco over the past 8 years. Yes, it is older but room/resort cleanliness & staff were very satisfactory. We don't eat at the on-site restaurant because it is just blah, but we do enjoy getting a couple cocktails at the bar & checking out the beach scene! We wound up getting a good sized poolside efficiency unit (2 burner built-in electric stovetop,microwave,full-sized fridge, toaster, coffee maker w/coffee supplied,utensils,dishes,pots/pans) for $83/night. AT NO PLACE ELSE DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH COULD YOU GET THAT KIND OF DEAL! Our 9 year old son has always had a great time there as lots of families (which means lots of other kids to play with) check in. There are very good restaurants within a 15 minute drive, or you could hop over to the grocery & load up on breakfast & lunch stuff as all of the rooms have at least a fridge & coffee maker. Hopefully, the Monaco will still be there for our next trip.

Nestled between several beautiful highrises we almost pasted our motel and I wished we had. We checked in and Margot was friendly, we went up the stairs because of NO ELEVATOR and noticed the DOOR HINGES are on the OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM DOOR very safe. the room was small and dirty. The beach access is nice but you pay $8 a day for deck chairs and towels, big shock the chairs were broken and no towels were clean. The resturant was a joke, the ice machine didnt work. we went across the street to Walgreens and got food and ice. The evening manager was a rude smart mouth and didnt try to help us in any way. Caution stay away!!!!

Mediocre
While the location is quite convenient and the price very attractive, the motel is more than 30 years behind the times. Very old building that hasn't seen any renovation or updating for decades. Centralized air conditioning means no control over...

The Del Monaco was outstanding. The beachside rooms, cheap prices, and friendly atmosphere made this motel by the sea a truly memorable venue. The friendly staff calmly turned a blind eye to our late-night drunken shenanigans, and did not even complain about repeated incidents of damaging hotel property.
Even climbing of the hotel palm trees was allowed!

Everything was perfect, the people were nice, and the room was clean. I love this hotel and its my second trip at this place. This hotel is very fine, and everybody there tried to make their best to please us.

This hotel was very old and dirty. It really should be demolished and rebuilt. Our first room had no hot water faucet on the bathroom sink, there were hairs in the bathtub and sink, the carpet and linoleum were very dirty, and there was no individual thermostat. The room was stuffy, and the staff came and found an old molded towel in the vents, and it was gross! The second room was a little better, but it still needed a lot of attention. On a positive note, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They were apologetic and accommodated us as best they could with the facility they had to work with.
