Travelodge Mission Valley Motel

The front desk staff was the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever delt with and I travel for a good part of my job. The room was very clean,well appointed and I felt I truly got the value that I paid for. Ask for the managers special as I did and get en even better rate than is listed online.

I will stay at this Travelodge again if I am in San Diego again.

Free high speed Internet in the room, a business center has an Internet kiosk where you can print your boarding pass for free, coin operated laundry was handy, location can't be beat, minutes to everything (specially shopping, malls across the street), downtown and airport and cruise terminal are about 7 minutes away, beaches about 12 minutes, the Zoo about 6 minutes, and Sea World about 5 minutes. Clean rooms, ask for a "Business Class" room. New bedding was much better than expected at a Travelodge. Price is excellent, specially considering location.

Well if your planning anymore than two nights here, I would not suggest this hotel as its not made for long-stays. The hotel is very close to the highway so easy-on and easy-off although the on and off ramps to the hotel are tricky. I'm glad I got a GPS. The bed was comfortable as well as the bathroom was clean. The airconditioner was working and although restaurants are all over the place, fast-food is scarce. I had travel back towrds university to find a good fast-food joint. The hotel felt fairly safe as well

Surly night desk clerk barely spoke. Had to get help opening the door since mold had stuck the door shut (no I am not kidding). Room was hot and stale; running the a/c made it too loud to sleep. Save your $ and sleep in your car if you have to!

The carpet was wet, the bathroom was dirty, and when I complained to the front desk clerk, he encouraged me to check out and find another hotel. By the way - this is not a hotel as it claims to be, but a motel.
