Ourlate arrival gave us limited choice in available rooms at this property so we accepted a smoking room against our preference. The room reeked of smoke giving one the sense that occupants were required to smoke a pack an hour to be able to stay in the room. As preposterous as it sounds, the shower water seemed to smell of cigarette smoke. Truly walls, ceilings and fixtures were saturated with smoke residue. We had accepted the room knowing it was a smoking room so we did tolerate it. The following morning at 9:04 we went for breakfast to be told breakfast was only available until 9am. At 9:04 there was no evidence breakfast had ever been available. When we asked why we weren't told of the unusual hours, we were directed to a sign clearly indicating breakfdast until 9am which was at rear of the breakfast area no where near the front desk. One would have no reason to be in that area late on the night we checked in. The individual at the desk was as arrogant and inconsiderate as one could be, informing me that this was not the worst experience I had ever had with accomadations.
We addressed our complaints to the corporate office and was offered compensation comensurate with concerns over a missing hand towel. In the event this experience is reflective of the properties in the chain, I will do as I did on 21 different night stays in July...and that is to stay anywhere but with this chain.
