Good
This Travelodge was much better than I was expecting. The rooms were like old studio apartments. There were plenty of amenities for a short stay. The location is just a block off of Michigan Ave. Walking distance to the Shedd's, and the Navy Pier....
22 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I liked that it was in my price range. It is hard for a broke college student to plan a vacation without spending a lot. The Travelodge hotel was affordable, in a good location and I had no problems during my stay.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Travelodge Hotel Downtown Chicago.
I might recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
The room that I had was not a large room and it was over furnished. It had 2 full size beds, a desk that was not very usable, a 6-drawer dresser, and a desk chair. The desk was at the foot of one of the beds and so close that the chair was only...

Okay
A nice room, 12th floor so should have not heard as much noise from the street as I did. Never was able to get the room to cool down to a comfortable level for me. TV remote didn't work so just like years ago, had to get up to change the chanel...

Good
This location was a great spot to be. It is just off the red line and within short walking distance to the art museum and millenium park. The room we were in was really small but for a quick business trip it was fine. They did upgrade us on the spot ...
45 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I was looking for an inexpensive hotel in downtown Chicago & trust me, in downtown Chicago most hotels are expensive. I was amazed at the awesome location basically at the corner of Michigan & Harrison, right across from Grant park, it doesn't get much better than that. The price was great, it is an old hotel but the room was fine. The best part is that there are several restaurants, all in a row, within a stones throw (KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway & Dunkin Donuts)
at Harrison & Wabash. Trust me, stay here if you're staying in Chicago, it's not 5 star but was fine for my family.

Okay
Perfectly acceptable room. Nothing fancy, but then nothing bad. Shower water pressure could be better. More than one electrical socket (which was already fully used) would have been nice for charging devices. Otherwise fine if all you need is a...

Okay
The room was small but clean and comfortable. There was some peeling paint in the bathroom. The El is VERY noisy so bring earplugs if you're sensitive. The elevators need some work. The staff was very friendly and VERY helpful. There was no view...
