The spacious room (#201) appeared to be recently renovated and was clean and welcoming. All appliances (microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker) were clean and in perfect working condition. The comfortable and spacious king size beds assured a restful night. Most importantly, the air conditioner provided not lukewarm but deliciously cold air as the outside temperature soared into the 90's! The 1:00 check-in (as opposed to 3:00 PM your competitors offer) was especially nice as it gave us a chance to "freshen up" after a long car ride.

Bob (the manager on duty during our stay) and his staff provided the type of service one would expect at a five star establishment. Questions were answered promptly, correctly and with courtesy; A request for extra towels from the housekeeping staff was met with a smile and an inquiry as to if we needed anything else. The complimentary "Bear Bites Breakfast" was the perfect touch to get us up and moving in the morning.

The location was convenient to Atlantic City beaches and dining choices ranging from fast food to a more substantial fare were quite close.

I would suggest the Phoenix Diner located at 200 W Absecon Blvd (Rt 30) Absecon, NJ be added to the Travelodge, Absecon's webpage.

We look forward to seeing Bob on our next stay on July 13th and hope we can again have Room 201.

The desk personnel were pleasant and provided answers to questions regarding available eating establishments.
