Mediocre
36 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

never again. having purchased our reservation online, we weren't aware that this is not so much a hotel as it was a teenager/backpackers/hostel type place. It was run down and old, noisy, and just about the worst place we've stayed. the furniture was old and dirty, the courtyard was full of loud guests all night long, and the windows and walls were so thin that there was no chance for any peace at all, you could hear every conversation from every room on either side and above/below you. There were people gathered around our front door ALL NIGHT LONG, running, yelling, drinking, banging on doors, and just being obnoxious. There were garbage bags just sitting out along the walkway, for no apparent reason. The rooms were tidy, but not clean due to the age and wear of the furniture. The place is just old and dirty. I had to put a towel down on the couch before I felt comfortable sitting on it, and the bed wasn't any better. I almost considered going to target to buy my own pillow and blanket just to sleep! I couldn't bring myself to walk around the room barefoot, and even walking around in socks was pretty bad. The wooden steps to get downstairs were actually rotting away under the carpet. I think I would have rather slept in my car. The other thing that bothered me was that there was a note on the dresser asking you to tip the housekeepers, and how much. I have never, ever been asked that before, and I spend more time traveling in hotels than I do at home

I am not likely to return to the Tradewinds Airport Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Bad service, worse amenities – Posted Jul 27, 2007

Horrible
52 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

Compared to the advertising, this hotel was the biggest joke. There was mold/mildew in our room - had me look at other rooms and they were not any better. The door to the second bedroom was missing; the carpet was stained and there were no in room amenities - not even a coffee pot (I guess this was my error, because I have never stayed in a room without one)

The every evening stuff yourself buffet was a nightly pile of French fries, tater tots and chicken flavored rice (and this was every night for the 8 nights we were there). The champagne party was a coupon received from the front desk and it was one coupon per guest; therefore, you were only allowed one glass of champagne - how misleading to those who indulge, a champagne party to them is as many glasses that you would care to drink - not so.

The hotel is also hidden behind a bunch of vines, plants, trees or whatever; if you are not careful, you will surely pass it.

There were three registered guest in my room and each day the cleaning lady only left two sets of towels - so each night we had to ask for more towels and if you went to the pool, then everyone were out of towels before the sun set.

This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I am 52 years old and well traveled. If I had not booked in advance, I would have not even checked in.

The pictures on line made it look so nice and the every room is a suite is really false advertising - yes, there was a sink and a refrigerator - but that is a far cry from being a kitchen.

There were two ladies at the front desk on the morning shift whose attitudes were so nasty, but there were also some ladies and a gentleman at the front desk in the evening that were very nice. All security personnel were exceptionally professional.
