50 year old female with a moderate budget

The room had an awful odor. They advertised free wi-fi and even confirmed this when I called to verify. However, there was NO connectivity in the room or in the lobby. The front desk and the GM just said 'sorry, can't do anything about it. . .' Housekeeping did not clean my room after the first night. The reason given was that I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door - yeah, this was for the 30 minutes I was complaining at the front desk about the wi-fi situation! Apparently, you only get one chance at maid service! I will never book at this hotel again.

The room was dirty, as was the bathroom. The security lock on door did not work. The bed linens never got changed in nine days. One bed frame was broken. The furniture in room was dirty and broken. I got what I paid for.

I am not likely to return to the Trade Winds East.
I would not recommend it to friends.

21 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My husband took me here for our 1st anniversery. Only because I really wanted to go. It was so nasty. I felt like our 1st anniversery was wreaked. The beds was dirty and stunk. There was little curly hairs in my tub(meaning this place has had not been cleaned). There was red splaters on the wall in the bath room. The whole hotel smelled rotten and Mildewy. The breakfast was staile Little Debbie cakes. Who would eat junk food for breakfast? There was trash all over the Balcony. The cable was non-exisant. Someone also threw hamburger wrapers at me and my husband from the floor above us. I wish we could have gotten a refund. And a delicing when we left. I will never be back and never advice people to stay there. It was soo gross. It ruined my anniversery what can I do? I can never have a 1 year anniversery again.

I am not likely to return to the Trade Winds East.
I would not recommend it to friends.

39 year old female with a economy budget

The rooms in the main building had a mildew smell. In addition the rooms were filthy. We booked the room through an online travel site and therefore were forced to stay there for a whole week. My husband and I came to Tulsa to attend the birth of our second grandchild and the return of our son from Iraq for this event; therefore we spend as little time as possible at this hotel. The wireless internet that this hotel offers is non existent and if you didn't have any back problems before you checked in, I can promise you that you will have them when you check out. One night i was kind of leaning on the headboard and it fell of the wall. My Husband tried to fix it and in the process we found out that there was a pile of trash under the bed. Any complains made to the front desk clerk and management was met with cheery voices and the promise that they will be fixed, however nothing was ever done. We were forced to stay there from June 17 to June 26. During our stay the orange juice machine, both ice machines, the soda machine, both washers and both dryers were broken down and never fixed. Hold on, let me correct that, one of the ice machines was actually working for about 24 hours. The icing of the cake however, was that when the power went out one night the back up generator was also not working and for a 24 hour period none of the plug-ins in the rooms was working. The night the power went out the rooms got hot and stuffy which intensified the smell. When we notified the online travel site the clerk and management had the nerve to tell them we never made a complaint. This is a hotel where people that are homeless are put in by the government to give them lodging; a lot of the people there have hotplates in there rooms and are setting up house. Unsupervised children run all over the place day and night, drunks and druggies are hanging around the place at night. Also this hotel’s website showed a nice pool and surrounding you can not lay by the pool and relax because again, children of all ages are running around there unsupervised. My 2 year old granddaughter begged to spend the night with us at the hotel we feared for her safety and health and therefore could not let her spend the night with us. If you value your health, safety and sanity do not stay at this hotel. We have urged the online travel site to take this hotel from its list. We paid $35 per night and it was not worth $5, matter of fact I think we should have been paid to stay there. I'm happy to report that today we were able to move to the Holiday Inn Select and we are enjoying our stay here.

Extremely well priced, excellent location, cleaner and less expensive than several franchises in Tulsa! Helpful, courteous staff, great location, nice breakfast. It is certainly not a 5-star resort, but for what it is, it is the best in town!

I am very likely to return to the Trade Winds East.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
