TownePlace Suites by Marriott Denver

I stayed here for a week. It's convenient to Southeast I25 (also I225) off Hampden, one block at Monaco Parkway.

Traveling with my spouse and I named my price through the internet site, "Priceline".

They have excellent people and service all around. My only problem was that the building looks like a group of apartments and sits back in off Monaco next to a big roadside parking lot. Their sign with the address is nice, but it's at roadside level and did not get our immediate attention.

There's a Chili's, an Italian restaurant, a movie theater, and a small shopping center with a supermarket all within walking distance. It's in a great neighborhood. The heavy snow removal was prompt and accommodating. Pets are permitted, but they were not obvious from inside of the hallways or the unit.

It has a wonderful staff and very comfortable rooms. The exercise facilities are very minimal, a treadmill and bike only, but functional. It felt like a family atmosphere. There was even a community Barbeque event potluck style.

This hotel made me feel content: Soundproofing was better than expected. The bedding was new.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The gym was being cleaned when we checked in. As soon as they were done, they came to our rooms to inform us that we could use the facilities.

Why is the internet price on Marriott's web site cheaper than calling the hotel direct?

The staff is nice, but they don't seem to recognize Silver Elite members.
