My husand and I really enjoyed our stay at the Topaz. The rooms are some what old but felt very, very clean. The cleaning service was excellent and very nice. The manager was very upbeat (as well as the staff) and very accommodating. We enjoyed the funky decor of the rooms. We had no problems getting around D.C. and the staff was very informative with directions. We just loved it and would stay here again if ever in the area.

The Topaz Hotel is one of those gems you hope to find when travelling.

Our room on the top floor facing the rear, was the quietest room I have ever stayed in. Quieter than staying out in the country.

The room was tastefully decorated with quality fittings. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The location, in a mostly residential street, but close to major streets, was very convienient, being a short ten minute walk to the White House.

Overall, excellent value for money.

It was one of the best hotels I had to stay in.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The service personnel had always made it clear that they were there for my service. There were no delays, no nonsense, they were simple and down to business.

Meals were very pricey for what you got - especially breakfast ... And coffee should have been complimentry!

This hotel made me feel welcome: Front desk staff acted as though they were glad to see us.
