Timber Ridge Lodge - Page 1

It had a very friendly family oriented environment. The water park was a little crowded, but it was a weekend. We had problems with our fireplace not working and we were told that the maintenance person was out sick and it could not be fixed.

We were looking forward to a nice family weekend at Timber Ridge but what a nightmare it ended up being.

The pool area was so crowded and loud that I couldn't keep track of my children. We were there for 15 minutes before my daughter darted into some cave-like stairs. I couldn't find her for a few seconds and then there she was, on the top of a slide that goes into a 4' pool.

I was trying to find a lifeguard that could help me but they were on the other end of the pool laughing and talking to each other!

Well, my daughter went right down the slide and started sinking. I had to jump in and carry her back to the side of the pool. Thank God she was OK . But I ended up in the emergency room and have a splint and crutches!

I just wanted to let parents know that this is not a place for small children, and no one cares if you get hurt. I had to hobble back to my room because the staff couldn't help me! I think they could have gotten me a wheelchair or something.

We have been to several pools and they all had very professional staff, this place was just the opposite.

The only thing good I can say is that the room was very nice and clean.
