TierraLinda is a dog friendly Bed and Breakfast located in a centennial farm near Galena. It has it's own lake, a cascading stream and a magical forest with groomed trails. It is a place to enjoy Nature, for birding relaxation and meditation. No TV of course!

The century-old farmhouse of TierraLinda invites you to enjoy the peacefulness of the JoDaviess countryside. TierraLinda, which means Beautiful Earth, is the home of Armando Villa and his three Airedale terriers: Mister Bingo Bruiser, 15 years old and the father of Champs d'Or and Rudy who were conceived on September the 11 of 2001. The Bed and Breakfast is only 5 miles from downtown Galena but far away from the urban bustle and the noise of Route 20. The two simple and beautiful guestrooms have queen size beds with European bedding and private baths. A full breakfast is served featuring specialties of TierraLinda. The house is centrally heated and air conditioned. Located in the first floor living room is Hot Blast Florence, a 1917 potbelly stove, which guests can sit around and enjoy a winter beverage and conversation. During warmer weather, relax on the front porch that has a view of rolling hills and distant farms. TierraLinda is nestled among 11 acres of meadows and woods. Guests can fish and swim in the pond, sit by the waterfalls or lie on the sandy beach. One can also stroll through the forest on footpaths that follow cascading streams while listening to the sounds of frogs and birds. The roads around TierraLinda are lightly traveled by cars and that makes them ideal for biking. Hammocks decorate the yards and are available for guests to rest in after a day of antique shopping, biking or hiking. In TierraLinda one does not watch Television, we enjoy Tierra-Vision.
