The beds were bad (you could feel every spring) but that is my only complaint. Very convenient to the tube and the staff were all very friendly. Having the gas station underneath was convenient (snacks from mini-mart). Our room was two floors up...
I went to London for a week and the first thing I noticed about the hotel was it is right above a gas station. If you look at the pics you'll notice that the bottom is always cropped. My room was fine I did not have any problems with it other...

Okay
Thistle Kensington was a clean, budget-conscious hotel. The rooms were small but comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. There was a bar for our enjoyment and a park across the street.
Great location, walking distance to the subway, Notting Hill and very nice neighborhood.
It was a weekend in February, the hotel was full and in our room there was no heating!!!, we ask several times for it and it took till 1 in the morning to ...
We checked in for a 5 night stay and had a decent room overlooking Hyde Park - room was clean. The location of the hotel was great - after breakfast each morning we for a walk through the park, and the Tube was only a couple of blocks away...
