We live in Litchfield Park so we were very happy when we could have guests stay there at so much less than what they were asking for local residents.
We love the resort but noticed that they have a few areas which are a little run down i.e need painting. It is still a favorite desination for us and our guests.

My daughter used this facility for her wedding and reception this May, and it cost over $7,000.00 U.S. for approximately 50 people.
She supplied her own decorations, and had to remove her decorations after each step of the wedding herself.
The "finger food buffet" cost $32.00 per plate and consisted of nachos, salsa, guacamole, perogies, and meat dumplings.
The champagne toast cost over $1000.00 extra for mediocre sparkling wine.
The wedding party had hair and make-up done at the spa which cost over $200.00 each. We had to re-curl everyone's hair after one hour. My mother had her hair done at a Fantastic Sams and her do was much better than any of ours and she paid $22.00.
I grew up with the Red Door mystique........this was the place to go. Unfortunately, I learned firsthand that it is a myth......no more special than having your makeup and hair done at the mall.
The service (except for the golf cart gentlemen) was lackluster at best. And downright rude when asked to take the luggage into the room.
The bartender assumed everyone was driving and cut many wedding guests off after two drinks. Designated drivers, cabs, and rooms at the Wigwam had been arranged. She even cut the bride off, and she was staying at the Wigwam.
There was a hole in the bathroom wall in our cottage........it had been plastered over and painted. But not sanded smooth before being painted.
And, to top it all off, the maid of honor walked into the cottage where the bridesmaids had left their clothing etc and found someone dressed like a maid going through the bags.
In all, really disappointing for the money paid. We will never go back.

If you like to golf and play tennis then perhaps this place is for you. If your family does not play golf or tennis don't stay here.
Poolside service was slow and expensive and the food was mediocre and the beer warm. They somehow managed to screw up a simple order, more than once. The promised family amenities didn't exist. My kids, who are very athletic, weren't allowed to use the workout room. There were no other kid activities. The promised skeet shooting was not there. The basketball court was at some park a couple blocks away. The horseback riding, Sedona trips etc were through third parties.
You did not need Wig Wam's help to do those things. In fact, they managed to screw up the timing on the horseback. Riding as the guy was over an hour late, as we sat in some parking lot in the hot sun. Unlike other hotels there was no listing of local restaurants. In fact the staff acted like no other restaurants in town. They wanted you stay on campus and eat their expensive food. I could go on but I think you get the point.
Next time we will stay at an Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn, etc.
Ok, not at the same time, but she had my room when she came for her concert.
This posh resort is the home of the stars for all the Glendale Arena visitors. It's not uncommon to see a hockey player (up close without all their teeth) or singers (with or without all their hair) by the pool or in the fancy restaurants!
I love this place to stay. I dont like golf, but their gold course is challenging! Personally, I cant make the Windmill hole at miniature golf, but the Wigwam courses make golf seem like a sport!
